HOW TO REPROGRAM MUSTANG TPMS

Reprogramming the tire pressure monitoring system or TPMS on your S197 Mustang is not as complicated as you might think! Follow this video as we guide you through this simple process. This is essential when purchasing new tire and wheel kits for your current 2007 Mustang.

NECESSARY TOOLS:

A Mustang S197Key to the previous Mustang TPMS sensor

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Insert the key in the ignition and leave it in the off position.


Press the brake pedal and release it.


Turn the key to the on position, then to the off position, then to the on position, then to the off position, then to the on position, then press and release the brake pedal.


Turn the key off, then to the on position, then to the off position, then to the on position, then to the on position, then to the off position, then to the on position. At this point you will hear the horn and be ready to practice your tpms tool. (You will be guided by a message on your indicators)


Take the TPMS training tool provided and place the arrow on the tool.


Hold the tool with the arrow pointing towards the tire against the side wall near the valve stem and hold the button down until you hear the horn.


Do this for all four tires, following the correct procedure for: Driver's side in front, passenger side in front, passenger side behind, then driver's side behind.
