A failure in the sensor does not indicate low tyre pressure but a failure in the TPMS system itself. Most likely you have a dead battery or sensor failure on one or more wheels. My 2009 did the same as last year before it was sold this spring. Weak battery. Mine would only show up at low temperatures at first (when battery power is reduced) and then all the time.

Ford F150 HD (2008 - 2010) TPMS Reset Procedure

Requires the Ford TPMS FRD-5 Release Tool* (or a properly formatted TPMS learning tool) after rotation, tire change and sensor replacement. This tool is located in the glove box along with the owner's manual.

1. Inflate all tires to the pressure shown on the tire placard
2. Turn the ignition to OFF and press and release the brake pedal.
3. Change the ignition three times from the OFF position to the RUN position, which ends in the RUN position
4. Press and release the brake pedal
5. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
6. Switch the power from the OFF position to the RUN position three times and end up in the RUN position.
7. The horn will sound once and the TPMS indicator will flash when the train mode is initiated. If equipped with a message center, it will display "TRAIN LF TIRE". Place the antennas of the teaching tool on the side wall of the LF tire 180 degrees from the valve stem to activate the sensor. The horn will sound as soon as the sensor is detected. Repeat this for RF, RR and LR tires.

After the LR tire is trained, the Message Center will display the FULL TRAINING MODE. If the vehicle is not equipped with the message center display, you can check if it has been successfully completed by switching the ignition to OFF and without the horn, when the horn sounds, the training procedure must be repeated.

ford fiesta tyres pressure RESETTING THE FORD FIESTA'S TYRE PRESSURE LIGHT Ford Fiesta Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) are a safety feature that alerts the driver when one or more tires have been deflated to 25% or more of the set pressure. On the Ford Fiesta, the tire pressure light may need to be reset because the monitoring system is on, but the light stays on even after corrective action has been taken. How to reset the low tyre pressure warning light on the Ford Fiesta To reset the tyre pressure warning light, follow these instructions: On the centre instrument panel, press the menu button. Press the down arrow and scroll to Vehicle Settings and press OK. Scroll down to Tire Control and press OK. Now hold down the OK button and wait a few seconds until the message "Reset Tire Pressure" appears. That's right, the Ford Fiesta's tyre pressure light should now go out. If it stays on or comes back on, you'll have to check for other faults. FORD FIESTA ...

tire pressure monitor fault fusion What is the TPMS Tyre Pressure Monitoring System What is the TPMS Tyre Pressure Monitoring System? The TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System is a basic safety system device used to monitor tire pressure levels. From November 1st 2014 new vehicles sold in the European market will be required to be fitted with, amongst other things, stability control and TPMS. This acronym stands for Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and is a device which, together with airbags, seat belts, ABS, etc., forms part of the basic safety systems. As the name suggests, this system is used to warn the driver if one of the wheels is not under pressure. On simpler models a warning is simply displayed on the dashboard with a tyre symbol or the letters TPMS in orange, but does not indicate which of the four pressure drops has occurred. The more comprehensive ones indicate exactly which tyre needs our attention and even provide information on the pressure and temperature of each wheel ...

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) As an important safety feature, your vehicle's Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) emits a warning light when one of your tires is significantly underinflated. This video explains how the system works. When the TPMS warning light comes on you must manually check the pressure with a tire pressure gauge and inflate to the correct pressure if required. TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM WARNING LAMP The tyre pressure monitoring system does not replace manual tyre pressure monitoring. For more accurate measurements, you should check your tyre pressure with a tyre pressure gauge at least once a month. Failure to maintain the correct tyre pressure increases the risk of tyre damage, loss of control, vehicle rollover and personal injury. See also "Inflating the tyres" in this chapter. Reading the TPMS Gauge How TPMS works The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) has a low tyre pressure warning light which illuminates when one or more tyres...
